Kovtunova Nadezhda Isakovna
1916-1998
Born in Kiev (Ukraine) 1916.
Studied at Odessa Art College 1938-1941.Member of Tula Vsekokhudozhnik from 1945.
Began exhibiting 1945. Has taken part in regional, republican and All-Union Art Exhibitions.
Member of the Union of Soviet Artists from 1952.
1957- participant of First Congress of Union of Soviet Artists.
1966, 1976, 1987- One-man show, Tula.
1977- awarded title "People's Artist of Russia".
Works by Kovtunova are represented in the art museums of Tula, Ivanovo, Kursk and other; in private collections abroad.
Died in Tula 1998.
