Born in Barnaul 1886.Studied at Kazan Art School 1905-08; in P.I.Kelin's studio, Moscow 1908-09; at Moscow College of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture 1909-14.
Active in Biisk (Altai terr.) and Barnaul 1916-22; Moscow thereafter.
Began exhibiting 1915.
Member of Altai Art Society 1919-22; AKhR/R 1922-32 ( founder member).
Exhibited with AKhR/R 1922-29.
Important shows include 'Anti-Imperialist Exhibition' Moscow 1931;
'Artists of the Russian Federation over Fifteen Years' Leningrad 1932;
'Artists of the Russian Federation over Fifteen Years' Moscow 1933;

Taught at art school, Barnaul 1920-22; intermediate schools and tekhnikums, Moscow 1922-31.
Died in Moscow 1969.
